Privacy policy
What we do with your information.
Short version: we collect what we need to answer your enquiry and publish your book, we do not sell it to anyone, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
Who we are
Schribe Publishing Ltd is the data controller for information collected through this website. You can reach us at hello@schribepublishing.com.
What we collect
When you complete an enquiry form, apply to the Authority Programme or book a discovery call, we collect your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and whatever you tell us about your project. If you tell us who referred you, we record that too.
If you request a print quote, we keep the specification you configured and the email address you send it to.
We do not use tracking or advertising cookies on this site.
Why we collect it
To reply to you, to prepare a quote or proposal, and if you become a client, to deliver the work. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest for responding to enquiries, and performance of a contract once you engage us.
Who else sees it
Our booking calendar is provided by Cal.com, which processes the details you enter when scheduling a call. We use a client management system to run projects, and email to communicate. We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone for marketing purposes.
If you become a client, some information necessarily reaches the parties needed to publish your book, such as ISBN registration and distribution platforms. We tell you what is going where.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted after two years. Client records are kept for seven years, which is the period we are required to retain financial records.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@schribepublishing.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page and the date below.
