Deborah Munganyinka Simugomwa is a survivor of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi, and an advocate who speaks about her experience.
Her memoir, Truth That Fights, is used in schools in Rwanda and stocked across Salford’s library network. In June 2024 she headlined an author evening at Walkden Library, and the book has opened international platforms for her to speak from.
