SCHRIBE. Book a call

Books with a job to do

The book is the easy part.

Anyone can produce one now. Almost nobody knows what to do next.

We take what you already know and turn it into a book that wins clients, raises your fees and gets you into rooms you could not get into before.

Positioning first. Then the manuscript, then publication, then the months after publication putting the argument in front of the people who decide things.

Who we work with

Consultants and professionals whose book has a commercial job to do, and ministry leaders whose teaching should travel further than a Sunday.

Nine years publishing Authors who publish with us again, and again Distributed in 40+ countries Nielsen ISBN, IngramSpark, Gardners, Amazon KDP

Why most business books do nothing

A finished manuscript is not the same thing as being taken seriously.

Production used to be the hard part. It is not any more. Editing, design, distribution and even drafting are now fast and cheap, which means a book on its own no longer proves anything. Shelves are full of good books by capable people that changed nothing about their business.

What most publishers sell

A manuscript turned into a book. The engagement ends the day it goes live on Amazon, which is the day the real work should begin.

What we sell

A claim you can defend, a book built to carry it, and six months of getting that claim in front of podcast hosts, conference programmers and the people who hire you.

The main thing we do

The Authority Programme

Six to eight months, from strategy to market. We start with the thing you can credibly own, then build everything else to carry it. One hundred copies of the finished book included.

Position

A full day and a written strategy. The claim you own, who it matters to, and the specific job the book has to do.

Extract

Interview-led. We draw the thinking out of you and edit it until it reads like your strongest day, not somebody else's writing.

Publish

Cover, interior, ISBN, print-ready files and worldwide distribution, to the standard a trade publisher would apply.

Activate

Podcast and speaking pitching, a content series drawn from the book, and a keynote and workshop built from the argument.

Authors

What happened after the book existed.

500

copies ordered straight away

Years of preaching, none of it written down. We built The Mind of God from Pastor Julius Adegbite’s recordings through Transchribe, and he committed to a first run of five hundred copies. Most self-published books never move that many in total.

A pastor from another church asked me who my publisher was. I told him Schribe.

Rwanda

to a Salford library stage

Deborah Munganyinka Simugomwa had been writing her survivor’s account for years with no route to publication. Truth That Fights is now used in schools in Rwanda, stocked across Salford’s library network, and Salford Community Leisure invited her to headline an author evening at Walkden Library.

Paid

speaking engagements, from one book

Joshua T. Komolafe came in with a rough draft and now runs a speaking and training business built on eight titles. Start Now did the same job for its author: paid engagements, and a book she hands over the way other people hand over a business card.

How do I say thank you enough?

The rest of what we do

Two other ways we work.

Publishing

Editing, cover and interior design, ISBN registration, print files and global distribution, with one project manager who owns the book from start to finish. The right choice when the book is a legacy piece, a record or a gift. You keep every penny of your royalties.

Packages and prices

Transchribe

The book already exists in how you speak. We build it from recordings you have made, or from interviews we record with you, and turn it into a finished, published book without asking you to become a writer.

How Transchribe works

The number we watch

One of our authors has published eight books with us.

Not one book, then silence. Eight, over several years, having seen exactly how we work: what the deadlines were like, how the editing felt, what the finished thing looked like on a shelf. He is not the only one who came back, but he is the clearest example of the only measure in this industry that cannot be bought, borrowed or written by a marketing department.

Why that beats a headcount

Any publisher can accumulate titles by taking every project that walks through the door. A large author list tells you how many people said yes once. It says nothing about what happened next.

Handing the same publisher a second manuscript is a decision made with full information. An eighth is something else entirely.

Read the case studies or see every book.

How long it takes

Realistic timings, given upfront.

These are the ranges we work to and the ones we will hold ourselves to in writing. Where a project runs longer, it is almost always because the manuscript needed more work than expected, and we will tell you that early rather than at the end.

Essentials

Six to eight weeks from the day you hand over a final manuscript.

Complete

Twelve to sixteen weeks, depending on how much editorial work the manuscript needs.

Transchribe

Sixteen to twenty weeks from the first session, including transcription and interviews.

Authority Programme

Six to eight months. The book is usually published around month six, and the campaign runs from there.

Twenty minutes, and you will know whether it is worth it.

A free call. We ask what your expertise currently earns you and where it stalls, then tell you honestly whether a book would move it. If it would not, we say so. You leave with a written plan and a quote either way.
